So while setting up the interview at the vancouver consulate, there is no selection for the Vancouver loomis location. In the list you can click on, it is listed there, but in the drop-down box it is not.

Anyone know whats up with that? Which option is the one to pick it up somewhere in vancouver?

Also, is there anyway to pick it up directly from the consulate? Maybe thinking that would be faster if its possible.

Thanks

Hmm. I remember picking it up from the Loomis Burnaby location. I think you either have to pick it up from Loomis, or pay and arrange to have Loomis deliver it to you.

According to the consulate, if you are planning to stay in the Vancouver area while you are waiting for the visa you have 2 choices: a) Select the Burnaby Loomis location, or b) Pay the $25-ish fee to have Loomis courier it to the address where you will be staying.

t would be nice if we were able to pick-up directly from the consulate but I'm pretty sure that's going to be a no-go. I will be there next week for my interview and I will ask and post back if by some miracle they let me side-step the courier system :)

Cheers!

I picked ours up at the Richmond DHL/Loomis location. Is that no longer available? Last year there were about 5 locations in the BC area I thought.

That would be great if you could let us know if they let you pick it up from the consulate! That would be very convenient. Thanks!

it's pretty rare that they'd let you pick it up from the consulate, that's assuming the visa will be ready asap and you never know how long it takes after an approval to get it back. You can still be put into AP while they run additional checks.

Ola! Had my visa interview yesterday in Vancouver - APPROVED! I did ask it they would allow the visa to be picked up directly from the Consulate and as we suspected, that is not an option. I chose to have it sent to the Richmond Loomis location as it the closest to the airport and convenient for me since once it is in my hot little hands we're going to the airport :)

The officer did tell me that some people have received their passports in as little as 2 business days - fingers crossed :)
