Well I am not very impressed with the reply I got to my email.

Don't know how you can schedule another interview.. seriously that isn't happening.

Did you get the letter, did it give you options. You need to call the embassy and see if you can ask that question to them - can I fly there and have a meetings on this..

Today my fiance had her interview but she asked for a tagalog translator but wasn't given one so she tried to answer the questions but was told she wasn't answering it right so they told her to have me call the Embassy. Have anyone had this situation? I called and he said wait for the letter. Does that mean we got denied? I'm going crazy thinking what went wrong and and what's our next step.

Any suggestions?

I am not daring to suggest anyone's loved one did anything wrong, but it would not be the first time what actually happened got confused with what really happened. When those language and cultural forces come into play, things can get twisted fast.

My wife and will soon celebrate 2 years of here being here, and sometimes directions and understandings still get mangled and she speaks good English.

I still have never heard of a case being denied when all the i's were dotted and t's crossed.finance docs in order, plenty of proof of relationship,Cenomar etc in order.

Just trying to think outside the box.

When I called the Embassy the person said wait for the the letter in the mail. My fiance emailed the letter she got after the interview but there was no disposition on it. Wouldn't it say what are next options on the letter after exiting the interview? So im just checking the mail everyday.

Lot's of things are possible, but if a translator was given I don't think she would have been as "confused".

I think they are still waiting for "the letter" from the embassy.

So sorry to hear that this happened to your fiancee. But based from my experience (and also from others whom I made friends with during my USEM interview and from reviews/ blogs), I was asked if I need a translator at the Filipino CO window. Does your fiancee remember if she was asked by the Filipino CO about this?

I was speaking english the whole time even with the Filipino CO, but still she asked me that question, which I find strange. So I assumed then that it's their protocol.

The communication part is very difficult between us and even through the phone calls im not entirely sure what exactly the questions she got confused on.

The folder we put together has everything they asked for like: chikka conversation, pictures of us together, ticket stubs you name it we got it there. I just hope there's another way to prove it's a bonifide relationship.
