good luck with pictures! but tell her to call Kiev Consulate and ask for sure as for 1 year validity (cos it's a bit contradicting as far as some docs for example medical check is valid for few months, so as I-129F approved form is valid for 4 months or so..... if i am not mistaken, so how they can give one year for submitting evidences for K-1 final approval?!) but any way i guess two weeks for sure will be fine for making and submitting pics....and perhaps if time permits maybe you can attend her second interview, and in such way stating your relations are serious....

It isn't contradictory, you have one year from the date of interview to provide the evidence, where is the contradiction? If the medical expires you simply do another. Don't confuse people if you don't know an answer, it could lead to panic. The process is already stressful enough

YOU, made a terrible mistake,..,.did you not read any guidelines, about what the embassy wants as proof? One of the most important, is many photos of (to be ) wife, family and friends, me and my wife even had pics. of us together at her work, with her supervisor, and submitted, between 25-30 photos.,..,

How could anyone miss such an easy requirement????? SAD!!!

i am not causing ANY panic at all, I am not stating that something is wrong, but as far as i am from the same country and know from the inside work of some consulates and how they approve or not issues, i just expressed my opinion on this particular situation and timing..... thats it....and any way i do recommend to call and ask once again as for timing....in each stage of visa application in any country there is such thing as "human factor" - where some officers approve docs and same docs later are under question mark.......so it's all relative.........and if to get into details, how I-129F was approved with one photo attached in the USA and in Ukraine they asked for more evidences of relation (as far as obviously for them same one photo is not satisfactory).....sooo as i say: human factor all over...

P.S. Hope Max will manage to make his fiancee visa approved in a short term!

I just wonder if the consular officer will now be even more suspisious that you will come to Ukraine to take photos together AFTER she is turned down? Anyways, good luck and God Bless.

Aloha Ke Akua

Not Turned down, just asked to bring more documents, thus 221G form. Suggesting we meet again. There is no difference when as long as it is within last 2 years.

Uh. I thought pictures were secondary evidence.

It is only secondary, but like loving_girl said "human factor". Interviewing agent must preffers more visual then document proof of our relationship.

Yes, I understand you were not turned down. What I meant is your fiance was not approved, thus the request for more info. (Semantics...) Does not approved equal turned down?

As far as the 2 year meeting requirement... as far as I understand it that would normally refer to meeting BEFORE the filing of the application. IMHO I would have to disagree with you. I think the meeting prior to the filing of documents is of utmost importance and it is possible that the consular officer might become suspicious that the two of you decided to meet after the "Not turned down" decision was made.

You mention that the 221G form is "Suggesting we meet again". Did they actually note that on the form? That is very unusual. I would check with the friend you were with in that single photo you have mentioned to see if he/she has any additional photos of the two of you together. I mean in this day and age I just can't figure out how the two of you could have spent time together and had only one photo taken and it is my belief that most consular officers might also be suspicious. I hope for your sake the consular officer does not get suspicious, however lets be real here... Trust me I am not judging you here. I am merely trying to help. In the end all that matters is what the American Consular Officer feels. If he/she feels there is no real relationship then it's over. I am simply trying to help you avaoid this situation.

I sincerly hope that you two can get together and everything works out for you.

Aloha Ke Akua

All information is very helpful. And yes, we made a mistake of taking only one pic together. There is sufficient evidence of ongoing relationship. You've no idea how much we care for each other. I just want to see my darling. I'm not worried about delay. If there will be need for repeat interview, then we go in together.

I never doubted your love for each other. I was merely trying to point out the possible issues with the embassy counsel and that they might be suspicoius. I hope I did not offend you. If I did I apologize.
