I'm so disappointed that after 30 days, USCIS has not sent out our case to NVC. Just got a response from our inquiry with NVC stating that they don't have it yet. We got approved sept. 23 by the way.

Will NVC really contact USCIS on our behalf to find out the whereabouts of our case? Should i rely on that and just wait?

It has been taking upwards of 8 weeks as of late for NVC to get the files and update their records. Just have to be patient.

Same as ours here...I129F approved on September 20...Called earlier but NVC has not received anything for us yet...Guess we just need to wait and be patient..

I suggest you call USCIS and politely demand to be transferred to Tier 2. Thats what I did this morning. The agent opened a service ticket on my behalf to have my paperworks transferred to NVC. She said i should be getting something in the mail no later than Nov 6 notifying me when they will send it to NVC. So obviously me and most of our files are still in their possesion.

Good luck !

My cousin was approved July 31, 2013. His files was stock somewhere at the NVC we keep on calling but they just keep on telling us wait for the standard 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, we keep on calling them, and they said scan the NOA2 and send it to NVCResearch.gov and after almost 11 weeks of waiting ge got our case number last week.

CSC is taking quite a long time to send out approved petitions... So calm down, relax and don't worry-- It will happen!! I was told 'wait 8 weeks' every time I called NVC or State Dept. I called 1-2 times per week until my file moved. It was 43 days before they transferred it. They are just having issues because of fast approvals out of CSC... plus the shutdown may have added extra time in there :( ... so have patience, it will all pay off in the end!

Don't worry. The CSC approved a massive amount of petitions in August and September. They are extremely backed up. The NVC just received my case last Thursday, 38 days after the NOA2 from the CSC. This seems to be around the average these days (around 40 days). Your petition is still at the CSC regardless of what they say. Starting around the 35 day mark you should call the NVC every day. They'll give you the standard "up to 8 weeks" garbage every time but don't worry, it won't take that long. Start calling everyday middle of next week. One day it won't be there and the next day...it will. Hang in there. You are close

Does USCIS entertain beneficiaries who's petition already got approved? I am under the assumption that if I call to ask if my case has been sent to NVC, they will turn me down. I'd love to have my fiancee call them but due to work hours, he cant stay on the phone for hours while waiting for Tier 2

Yes that's what we did earlier, scanned it and email again to NVC. I just hope it will not take too long for NVC to get back to us.

Not sure but i think beneficiaries can make the call. There's no harm in trying. I don't think your fiance will be turned down just because of that. It's your right to know. It just needs more time from him since he'll be put on the line 30mins up to 1hour.

Yeah, its something we dont have control off. It will be given to us one of this days. But sometimes its just a bit frustrating. More patience at this time.
