Hello all,

My fiance and I just received our NOA2 and I am in the process of getting the paperwork together in preparation for the interview. I had a question about the letter from my employer. I have two part time jobs. My main job is 30 hours per week and my salary is way over what I should make according to the poverty guidelines. I have been looking online at sample letters and they all state employment should be full time. Can anyone tell me if a full time job is a requirement to be approved? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I am not sure it needs to be full time, but it does need to be permanent. My employer letter didn't list permanent or temporary either, it just says 'currently employed', I don't know how that will play a role since my interview is in 3 days.

But I think it wouldn't be a problem as long as it is over the poverty lines.

Also some consulates request previous tax returns.

Thank you for your reply. Good Luck on your interview. Please let me know how it goes.

I am a permanent employee but not full time. I would love to find out from someone that had a similar situation. Thanks again and Good Luck!!
