Thanks for the response Bad. Would love to know how long your rfe took before you got Noa2 or before you started calling them asking why the delay?

Thank you my friend. And I pray that you will be approved after your interview. It feels good to know that there was someone in a similar situation. How long had you waited for the RFE? I am hoping to write them soon. Is the level 2 also known as Tier 2? When I have been calling them, it has only taken a day or two for them to send me an email. Do you think emailing them takes longer for them to reply than calling; or it is just the same thing?

BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE, YOU CALL AND ASK FOR LEVEL 2 OF SUPPORT , AND ASK FOR THE REASON OF DELAY , THEY RIGHT IT DOWN, IN 2 WEEKS YOU HAVE A LETTER LIKE THIS , THIS WAY YOU WILL FIND WERE YOUR APPLICATION , BY THE WAY , WE HAD SAME RFE , WE WROTE A LITTER ,EXPLAIN HOW HARD IT WAS TO MEET IN PERSON IN LAST 2 YEARS , AND HOW OUR FAMILIES ARE TOO CLOSE ....ETC .

2 WEEKS LATER WE GOT APPROVED smile.png.

FOR US IT WAS A HARD 10 MONTHS SINCE WE FILLED OUR APPLICATION TILL WE GOT APPROVED , 10-30-2013 OUR INTERVIEW , WISH ME LUCK MY FRIEND smile.png.

AND KEEP CALLING AS MUCH AS U CAN .

SORRY MY CAPSLOCK IS STUCK smile.png

You did not answer Harpa Timsah's question yet. Are you subject of Adam Walsh Act? Don't get me wrong. We don't try being rude here, just trying to figure out what makes you get an RFE that took so long to get responded. from USCIS.

Sorry Harper that i forgot to reply that question of the Adam Welsh act. No,I am not subject to that. And I am not getting you wrong in any way,I know you are helping me..you are not being rude..thank you. I have come to a conclusion that maybe my file is lost or misplaced, just like one of the members posted about his that had taken four months until he intervened by visiting the uscis local office and he was approved after two weeks

MiltonAnaya, good to hear from you and thank you for your response and advice. How long did you wait for a response to your rfe before contacting the congressman? What was your RFE for?

And how long did it take the congressman to contact them and them getting back to him. I have read in VJ that sometimes when you contact a congressman, they just send an email to USCIS and then keep quite about it. Or they never respond.

It wasn't the response that took forever, it was the actual RFE. I got it 3 months after. Well lucky for me that after a month of contacting the immigration person at my office, I received my response. And Then a call from the man making sure I had received the RFE

Members, USCIS still says that they dont know when my case will be responded to. Remember it is now five months since I got an rfe. Should I now call my congressman or tmy Senator? Is it okay to call both of them or contact both of them at the same time? What should I do, so tired and the waiting has been over a year. Please help, thank you

Probably it is better to make a new thread to gather more audience.

Timeline

Guess I will go to my local office Sanlot and inquire next week. Thanx for the advice and all the help. So there is a huge likelihood that it got lost

Just let you know CSC is slow slow with RFE. A few friends I know doing Adjustment of status through CSC got RFE one took 6 months one took 8 they both have green cards took 14 months and 17 months. And I know its AOS band that usually goes way faster just saying RFE's through CSC its like they are lost. Noticing RFE's across the board at all service centers seems to have USCIS confused they issue too many and for everything now.

But you should still contact whoever you can. Also the Omsbudsman office also they seem to get some results at times. Sorry dear.

Yes contact them. They'll need to you fill out and return a consent form before they can contact USCIS on your behalf. Normally they have an aid that does all the work contacting USCIS and getting back to you. There is no problem with getting both involved. I went to their web sites and downloaded the consent form for both a senator and rep, and got them both to inquire for me.
