They mean have you met within the past 2 years, in you case yes, this question should be on I-129F that you use for K-3 visa, it has to do with an un-married couple, the un-married couple needs to have met within 2 years of filling. This does not apply in the case of a married couple.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I've seen this question asked a few times before. I guess it's sort of confusing. There is no requirement for a relationship of 2 years or longer. The requirements mean the petitionar must have met in person being petitioned in the last 2 years. You were married in July of 2006 so no problems for you! :)

Good luck! :)

We're in the K-3 forum, and the question was about the I-130, so either way, there's no two year requirement of any sort.

For a K-1, there is a requirement that the couple have been together at the same place face-to-face at least one time during the two years before filing the I-129F. Sometimes people use the word "meet" or "met" to describe that requirement, but I'm going to avoid that terminology here, to avoid connotation of "initially met". Anyway it's a requirement for unmarried people only.

The only requirement for meeting in the K-3 process is indirect. You have to have been together at or after your wedding ceremony (wedding by proxy isn't recognized by the USCIS unless the marriage has been consummated).

There's no requirement regarding the total length of the relationship for any of the fiancee or marriage visas.
