Hello All,

I am an american citizen petitioning for my fiance who is a British citizen and I filed for the i-129F visa in July of 2013. I received notice today that my i-129F petition for fiance visa was approved. I called the USCIS customer service line to better understand what the next steps are. The agent I spoke with told me that I should receive the letter within 30 days and it will have specific instructions on what do to next. I am eager and don't have the patience to wait 30 days so I thought I would see if anyone on here has gone through the same situation. Being the American, what comes next? Will he now be sent a notice to come in for an interview at the american consulate in London?

Thanks and good luck to all!

Congrats!! You process was fast, mine took almost 7 months for approval. Basically it will go to NVC and then to embassy. If you want you can click ont he "Guides" tab on the top and select K1 and then look at the entire process. VJ did a great job in explaining the entire process.

Take CARE

You do not have to wait. You could have already been researching the process for London while waiting for your I-129F approval. The NOA1 approval notice does not actually contain instructions. Your case will be sent to the NVC and then onto your consulate.
