so I mailed our I-129F in on 8/12/2013 and we recieved our noa1 on 8/14/2013. I haven't heard anything since but I just checked the USCIS website for our case status and it said something like this:

nitial Review

On September 6, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

can anyone tell me what this means??

It does not mean anything. But it seems I smell an approval any time soon. Though everyone is different but a few weeks after my alien registration number has been changed, our I-129F was approved. Hope it happens in that way for you. Good luck.

Just a change every petition goes through, so no need to worry about it. Mine was changed about a month ago and we're still waiting.

I don't think it says much about whether you're going to be approved soon or not.
