I am currently awaiting for my packet 3 instructions, I have had confirmation from the Embassy on 12th September that received my case from the NVC.

Should I allow more time or what is the best way to case this matter many thanks.

Hi, I am also waiting for packet 3, I know my files are in embassy cause I emailed them asking if it has arrived from NVC. And they said I should receive it by this week. So I think we only can wait.

May I know how they informed you that your files are in embassy ? They send you email or hard copy letter by mail ? Thanks.

The instruction letter from London is not a packet. It is a one page letter that says get your instructions here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

Please note that everything you need to know is not on that page. There are frequent places it has a link to anther page or says to see another topic from the left hand column like medical, fees, document for the Interview, etc. Explore all the website for a full knowledge of the bits and pieces.

Then come read (and post) in the UK forum for London questions. It's different at each embassy so get London specific answers. UK FORUM http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/

If you have confirmed that London has logged in your file---set you up in their system so to speak-- then you don't need the actual letter in hand. A call to DOS could confirm that. If London has your file logged in , then start applying. Here is a new good summary of London requirements. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/iv_and_k_interview_checklist.pdf

Once I knew my case was in London I got the medical done and sent the DS forms in at the same time, I did not wait for the letter. I looked on here and the embassy web site about what to send and where to send it.

I cant tell you as it has changed over the last month or two since I did mine.
