I miss Canada a lot lately. I've started hoarding all the Canadiana I can to bring to the U.S. How do you commemorate your homeland?

I'm from BC and it's beautiful there but to be honest all I miss is the weather (summer is Alabama is disgusting humid) but more importantly, my friends. I've lived there all my life, but I mean, I didn't have many ties to the city let alone the country. And yes of course, can't forget Timmy's!

I bought a $15 (tiny) bag of Tim Horton's coffee last time I was at Epcot!! The silliest part is that my sister was coming to visit the next week, and I could've just asked her to bring me a much cheaper, bigger tin of Tim's, but I was just SO DARN EXCITED that I could buy it myself, in Florida! LOL

Snow has started in Ontario. Hot, humid, and voggy (volcanic smog) here in Hawaii... would rather be in the cold.

We've had snow here for...hmm...two weeks or so now? (South/central Alberta...I'm living kind of on the borderline lol)

I think even though it'll be nice not to have to commute and spend all the money on winter tires...I'll miss the snow.

I remember one visit where I went down and on the radio, there was a promotion/contest where they'd bring in a snow maker and you could play in REAL SNOW!!!!! OMG!!!!

What else will I miss? Okay Calgary area specific here but spolumbos sausages. Sooo yummy. Local company, organic gluten free goodness!!!

Easily available maple syrup. I may move down with a crate of the stuff to keep me going and beg family to send regular shipments (they're all in the Ottawa area in Ontario)

I have a friend who now lives in Arizona. She's pregnant and craving m&ms (meat shop) peach juice. So I packed her up a massive care package lol.

The dog will miss the snow. She's such a snow puppy...

Someone at work asked me if the snow stays all the time. They then hung their head and realized what they said and clarified they meant during the winter. I said sometimes it takes a month and sometimes it doesn't melt off at all. Where my mom lives is different as it's a ski hill. Denver is almost as high as the base elevation for Big White too. lol

I'm lucky. I still work in Canada and live just outside of Detroit. It's a hour long commute to and from work but I love the fact that I get to go back to Canada 6 days a week.
