Hi..my fiance'(US citizen) and I are preparing all the required papers for filling K1-fiancee visa. however, i have a big confusi0n regarding my name on my birth certificate which is a full

MARIA while on my anulled marriage contract it's an abbreviated MA. we're almost done with our papers but we want to make sure we won't have any problem by the time our papaers

are already submitted to USCIS.

can anyone give a constructive advise on what to do with this matter? thank you in advance and God bless us all.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. USCIS should be familiar with the common Latin abbreviation of Ma. for Maria. You could, however, always add a note explaining this if you want to. Some of our docs had this abbreviation, where we had always used the complete Maria. We provided no further explanation. We had no issues. Having said that: YMMV :)
