Do you have to have a phone I do but my fiance does not and does not wish to get one unless he absolutely has to.we do all of our talking via the internet. thanks in advance.

If you're referring to proof of relationship, I don't think a phone is necessary...lots of people do most of their communication by internet. My fiancé and I are at the interview stage and I've printed off some of our emails as part of the proof of our relationship. I also have some of our chats as well. I think they just want to know if you've met in person within the last two years. Just MHO

There is no requirement that he have a phone. You must show proof of meeting each other in the past two years and proof of an ongoing relationship with the intent to marry.

All you need to do is show the proof of having met and at the interview stage to show that you have a relationship. We did it by just printing 5 or 6 emails and 4 or 5 chats; nothing else. In my opinion phone records just show that you talked - they don't show WHAT you talked about! Your emails or letters or chat records are a BETTER PROOF in my opinion. Good Luck
