You are fine with the old forms, if you SCHEDULED your interview before Oct 7th, and I see you scheduled the interview back in September so you are good to go with the old forms.

We all need to change them to DS 160 not unless your interview date was last October 7

No, that is not correct. You only need to have scheduled the interview before the 7th of October.

Important Notice: All nonimmigrant visa applicants worldwide must use the online DS-160 Nonimmigrant Visa Application Form, including individuals applying for a K visa.

NOTE: For K visa cases in process at a U.S. embassy or consulate, the DS-160 is not required when, prior to October 7th, 2013, one of the following situations exist:

  • The K visa applicant is already scheduled for an interview.
  • The K visa applicant has already been interviewed and has been requested to submit additional documentation or is pending administrative processing.
  • The K visa applicant has already submitted a valid, signed, unexpired DS-156, DS-156K and/or DS-230 or received instructions to do so.

Yes, "permanently" will suffice just like you used to put on DS-156 in the old days.

but the options at DS-160 is to put the number of Years, months, and days...not the word Permanently or indefinitely.

Then put the furthest possible date you can think of.
