Layover in Manila - CFO seminar required?

I have a Philippine passport but holding UAE (Dubai) residence visa. I was approved for a K-1 visa at US Embassy in Abu Dhabi . I am planning to take a flight to Los Angeles from Dubai, UAE with a 14-hour layover in Manila (cheaper ticket price). I wanted to take the opportunity to meet family and friends since the layover is too long…

Would someone tell me if it is a good or bad idea?

Will I have a problem in Manila Airport/immigration when I’m about to take the flight out to LA?

Because I remember, all overseas Filipino workers or those Filipinos immigrating to US are required to take the seminar they called CFO seminar.

Am I also required, even though I was there just for a layover?

Thank you in advance!

Bad.

If you do not leave the airport gate area no issues. But if you leave that area and have to re-enter through customs you will need the CFO sticker in your passport being there is a visa in there to the USA.

14 hour layover is not enough time to complete CFO get the sticker in your passport and visit family.

What about on your philippine passport if you can take a look was there any stamp of CFO?

The topic was from October 2013 and OP has entered US last December. Timeline shows she is now at AOS stage. :)
