laughing.gif Evil plot is right! laughing.gif

As we approached the date, I kept teasing my wife = "This is your last (whatever fit at the moment) as a Filipina"..."I thought I married a Filipina - I'm having an identity crisis!!"..."All those unique Filipina traits - poof! They're all gone - you've been Americanized!" ..."I don't even know you anymore"....laughing.gif

(but) So far....the only thing that has changed = The Driver License will no longer have the LPR status....phew. What a relief! tongue_ss.gif

Thank You for the Gratz! smile.png

Hi everyone! star_smile.gif Thank you very much for all the nice words and congrats! smile.pnggood.gif

Having reached the "finish line" is a wonderful accomplishment for my husband and I. During the (naturalization) process, I don't recall ever having the- so called "mixed emotions" until I began the instant of "The Oath of Allegiance". The oath taking ceremony was a very special yet emotional moment, indeed.

In five years, we have accumulated tons of immigration-related documents. So, as my (citizenship lady) interviewer says; - "after 5 long years, now we can finally put this "huge file" to "rest". biggrin.png

Our entire immigration journey may have taken a bit longer than we expected but, I am very happy and thankful, aside from hitting a "small bump" with St. Luke's, we successfully made it over to each and every "hurdle".

I thank God for always being with us, especially throughout the visa process. The whole "visa event" caused us a tremendous amount of stress but, I don't regret it because now my life is happy and complete! Why? Because my husband and I are together forever!

I also THANK Him for blessing me with a more intelligent and excellent husband than I could ever ask for. Hubby was my strength when we were apart, and has been my life since the moment he captured and made my heart whole. heart.gif

Again, thank you all and best wishes!

Thank You! smile.png Yep. We are Sweethearts. The best of friends. Soul mates. wub.png

& more than a few VJs would agree = Yes. They are sweet to each other & mean to every1 else!.. ranting33va.gif For the record - it's my wife. Asawa Ko is the mean 1. I just follow her lead. Coz I'm appropriately scared of my wife. laughing.gif Nah - I'm joking. It's both of us.tongue_ss.gif We're both guilty of being a little mean sometimes. blush.png

While waiting for the interview - I visited my wife multiple times. Each time I got off the Plane in Manila - I had mixed emotions = happy & angst. The angst came from knowing I would be flying back alone. (but) I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything. The memories are priceless treasures.

Hang in there & 1 day you will find yourself finished with the journey too. & when that day comes, It will seem as though time flew by quick and the beginning was just a short time ago. yes.gifgood.gif

(for me) All the angst was replaced with Joy &...fear. helpsmilie.giflaughing.gif
