Petitioner is required to pay the Affidavit of Support fee which is $70.

Beneficiary is required to pay the Immigrant Visa Fee, which is $380 I believe.

So if your husband received something saying everything was paid, it was only everything he had to pay. You are still required to pay the Immigrant Visa fee.

I'm guessing this is what is causing the confusion. Have you looked at the NVC flowchart?

I know that we have paid the $70 but the problem is that if i'm required to pay the $380 then why did they instruct that it be paid with cashier's check or money order in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank... that is kinda difficult to accomplish from where i am so i had to send it to my hubby in the states so he can make the payment from there... that's where the confusion started... thank you... i will give updates as it comes... your speedy reply was highly appreciated... :D

Hi ame,

My husband paid for the IV Fee Bill. Maybe you should just send the package you received with the bill and let him handle it.

The beneficiary pays the IV bill?

I thought that the choice of agent form was so the beneficiary chooses who gets the mail. If the beneficiary chose her husband/petitioner in the USA, as her choice of agent, he will ge the IV bill, right?

Petitioner usually pays it, right? I don't know....... just what I thought. For my husband to come up with $380 in US money.... I dont know about the conversions from where u are.....

Pray with me Forrest! Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here..... Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here!

If the Petitioner is the Agent, then the Petitioner will receive the IV fee bill.
