Paying Visa Fee on new USvisa Info Website

Hi everyone,

On September 30th we were informed that we have our interview on October 16th and to visit usvisa-info.com to register for the courier service and the pay the $240 visa fee.

So yesterday, October 1st I created an account, registered for courier service and paid the extra $39 for the visa to be delivered directly to my fiance's house. I also submitted the appointment date and time into the system as directed. But I am unable to pay the $240 fee on the website as I was told to by the Consulate in Naples. In fact, I'm not even presented with the option on my account.

I e-mailed the consulate yesterday with the issue, and today was the first time they haven't responded (for whatever reason).

Has anyone else had this issue with the new website system they have? I'm think that perhaps the system needs to update or have the interview time approved by Naples before I have the option to pay. Unfortunately the website doesn't provide many instructions or answers to possible questions.

There has been a LOT of discussion about this on the UK forum since the online system went live at the end of July (which is the same website as Naples).

We had the same issue you did. When my fiance created the account, paying the MRV fee was never an option. He contacted the Embassy several times. They were never able to do anything (even though they said they would). We eventually created a second account on the website (Make sure it's through the immigrant side) with a new e-mail address and were able to pay the fee. We paid the courier for home delivery twice (once on each account) just to get it all sorted before the interview.

There are some growing pains with the new system it seems!

Wow!! You got an interview date quite quickly, how exciting!! I'm not sure if there is a different page for each country, but we had to click on the home page and select 'K1 Visa' is that an option?

Thanks for the input you two! Yeah I thought about creating a second account to pay the fee but was afraid of screwing something up....but as it seems to have worked out for you, i'll be paying it that way by the end of today!

Our post NOA2 process has been pretty fast! I'm not sure why, as our NOA2 was August 30th. I know Naples gave us a fast interview date simply because I asked them politely.

Congrats to you two on the interviews! I'm assuming yours was successful today, EJ?

Although it seems to likely be a coincidence, there seems to have been success when the USC created the account from the US. While I can't imagine that it matters, perhaps have the USC create it from a US IP address if possible (it worked for us, and i read a handful of others). Again, likely a coincidence, so don't stress if the USC can't do it, but thought I'd suggest it.

The beneficiary can then login to the account and print proof of MRV payment to take to the interview!

I'm the USC, and I can't do it. So the system is just bad, that's all. You went through "Immigrant Visa" side, correct?

Yes, definitely the immigrant side. Your "packet 3" letter should specify. Follow the steps EXACTLY.

Ok, just making sure I was on the right side (IV). Now one question that perhaps is relevant, perhaps not (again the website doesn't explain anything).

The status of the successful courier registration account says "must send documents". Any idea as to what that is referring?

That's where I can't help since the courier service in Italy is different from the UK courier. I'd use the VJ search feature if I were you to try and see if anyone else knows. Sadly, I can't help.

Ok, you two... I'm officially semi-dumb, but I do mostly blame the website!

Because I originally clicked to pay for the courier service first (as it's the first on the list) it would not let me pay the fee. Once I made a new account with my work e-mail and clicked on to Pay the K1 first, everything worked without a problem.

And, as you can see from the long thread on the UK forum, you're certainly not alone in MRV payment issues on that website!
