I remember somebody asked about this but I could not find again. When should he or I pay the green card fees? Is that correct website to pay?

https://elis.uscis.dhs.gov/cislogin/CISControllerAction.do?TAM_OP=login&ERROR_CODE=0x00000000&URL=%2F&AUTHNLEVEL=&OLDSESSION=

Thank you.

you should pay them after you receive your passport and sealed packet from the consulate and before you make your POE

You only need to pay the fee before you send in your AOS package once you are married. Don't waste your money until you are ready to begin that process. Green card fees have nothing to do with POE.

Worry about your I-94. If you are flying it will be done on-line and you may have to go to a deferred location. If you are driving make sure you get the white paper copy.

Umm, that's not accurate advice. For CR/IR1 applicants, AOS fee is separate from the Green Card fee. Once the Consulate approves the application and the temporary is processed, you can log in and pay the Green Card fee. However, you can also wait until you receive the bill after you POE, as the temporary is good for 1 year. You won't get your actual Green Card until this fee is paid.

The member did not specify which VISA they were using. My information was for K1/2. Your tone is not appreciated when all we are trying to do is help.

K-1s do not pay the Immigrant Fee of $165 at all. They are exempt as they are not granted an Immigrant Visa. They Adjust Status after marriage in the US and pay those fees.

The Immigrant Fee is supposed to be paid prior to POE to expedite the issuance of the Green Card however we have up to a year after arrival to pay the fee.

The new immigrant fee can be paid for up to one year after you POE. If you do not pay it before you go, they will send notices to you within a month in the USA. The endorsed visa in the passport will act like a green card for up to one year.

Looks fine.

In about a month after POE (not payment date) it'll change to optimized and hopefully soon after that to closed

Might take a bit longer atm because of the issues the're having.
