does anyone know how long it takes to receive the pre-interview notice?..or packet 3? our 129f was received in manila 11-24-06...thx

The VJ timelines are your friends.

Select K1 <advanced view> Then Filter for Philipines, then go to the <Packet 3 received> column and click the Down pointing arrow, this sorts them by newest received P3 packet, then look at Consulate Received date, and compare it to the P3 Received date. You will get a good idea of how long it will take.

I used the timelines to get a good idea on when to expect an interview in our case and so far it has been fairly accurate.

those who received the letter posted it was about 1 to 2 weeks after the petition arrived at the Embassy. my fiancee didn't receive one, so if you dont, no need to worry.

there is no packet 3 for Manila. only packet 4, the Fiance Visa Appointment Package which you can download online at the Embassy website. you will not receive it till 7 to 10 days after you have been scheduled an interview date.

It has been different for everyone and I think it is much like the Visa, depends on ur location. My fiancee lives in Pampanga Province 45 miles north of Manila and it took 3 weeks from receipt date til the letter. Ken
