I read in few diifferent threads that 30 days before 3/5 years anniversaty applicant will be put inline for interview, but my status didn't change . My 5 years anniversary is jan 9 2014. Anyone else experienced the same ?

I had my interview yesterday and received a piece of paper with the "recommended for approval" box checked. Awaiting oath ceremony letter assuming everything is in order!

I received and Updated Status text yesterday, "On December 18, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview".

I haven't seen a letter yet to know the date, they say "30 days from when the letter is mailed" so I'm guessing my interview date will be sometime after mid-January.

Then this week we received a yellow notice that states Pre-Interview Case File Review. It goes on to state USCIS recommends you bring the following documents to your interview:

This is a typical standard yellow letter and there is nothing to worry about. I received the same yellow letter two weeks prior to my interview on Dec. 10 and the officer did check my driver's license during the interview.

Interview was in the same facility I went to for my biometrics.

Once my name was called (15 minutes after appointment time but no complaints) I went into the interviewer's office and took an oath before sitting down.

Questions were straightforward but I only remember four of them:

- Name of longest river (1 of 2)

- Date of Declaration of Independence

- Current speaker of house

- Who lived in America before Colonists arrived

Then I was told to read a sentence and write a sentence (mine were about Lincoln).

After that we went through the N-400 pretty much line by line and the interviewer repeated the questions almost exactly as worded.

Then I got form with the "recommended for approval" box checked and after some small talk (I asked how Gov't shutdown affected them - answer was it didn't) I was on my way!

I received yellow letter today too. Wanted three years tax returns had only sent two in. Hopefully I can furnish this year's before I am scheduled for an interview since my husband and I only filed two years together. He was a dependent when we got married.

Now waiting for interview date. Seems like it's going to be any time now. Notice said it was a pre interview screening.
