Hello all (:

I wanted to ask you all your opinion on contact with the NVC...My fiancé and I received notification of our approved petition (yay!) on August 22, 2013. As our letter stated, we waited 30 days until we contacted the NVC to ask about our status. We have not yet received any hard copy or response e-mail, and it's been a week since I contacted them. The only correspondence we have gotten was a auto-response saying that they received our e-mail and will get back to us.

I guess our question is, is this normal to wait this long? And if not, is it appropriate to call them, or e-mail them again?

I am just worried and checking my e-mail about every five minutes...hahaha.

Thank you all in advance!

You can call them Monday, it's faster than email and you'll get the same response. You just sometimes have to wait upto 45 minutes to get an operator. I usually would call at around 9/10pm and would have to wait less than 5 minutes.`

Just keep dialing. You'll get to the menu eventually. If you try at night it's easier to get through.
