You are talking about getting the visa to enter Russia? I have not gone for a while so perhaps things have changed but on my 15-20 trips to Russia I always used a service to get the visa. It wasn't expensive, you fill out the application online, send them your passport and a check or credit card and they send back your passport with the visa inside. It has been a while but I believe the two services I used was www.russsia-visa.com and www.gotorussia.com I haven't checked those to see if they are still up. I always found them very reliable and a lot less bother.

12/14/2006 Applied for K-1 with request for Waver for Multiple filings within 2 years.

Zorro2020,

It sounds like you are fishing for a super easy way to get your girl here. Unfortunately, there is not an easy way that is still legal. The advice you have received so far is quite sound and reasonable. Most everyone knows that using a K-1 visa is the fastest method to get your fiancee here. However, you have to prove having met within the past two years and then file an application, pay fees and provide documents. VJ is set up to assist do it yourselfers and most everyone will be happy to help if you are legitimate. But, if you are just too darn lazy to follow the instructions here, then either decide to use a reputable immigration attorney or just forget about trying at all.

Everyone here has or is going through the immigration process, which is slower than you want, more demanding and frustrating that you think it should be and is filled with government bureaucrats who really don't care about your case. If you can't decide whether to go to Russia to meet with this woman again, then kiss it all off and move on.unsure.png

This is really the best advice in the thread. Visiting Russia is probably about the -easiest- obstacle you will have to overcome. There are no shortcuts in this process. It's a day by day, heartache by heartache process designed to ensure that you are truly committed the the person you intend to marry. If you bring yourself to even visit her in her home country you really need to question whether you can commit to many months of hard work required to see this process through.

I hope that should you choose to continue you're mentally prepared. It's truly a challenge, but it's one that's extremely worth it to be with the person you love.

Open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur.
