Job status

I just read in angilla's post about her asking what to do about sending information on her job.

To explain to you all, is i had a car accident a while ago. So when I started my job I was having to go to therapy every single day, so I am working part time as a result, but now I think I should be moving to full time some time soon. Is my part time status going to influence their decision??

The big thing is how much you earn, not how many hours you work, but if your tax return for 2005 is over the poverty income line you should be ok. You could also provide documentation on what is happening this year if your income was negatively affected by the reduced work hours. If, for example, your income was reduced while recuperating from the accident but you work for the same company and expect to return to full time, perhaps ask your boss to include information to that in your employment letter. Just a thought!
