Dear VJs,

Kindly need assistance, my petitioned will be my husband (US citizen) and I m Indonesian with 2 young boys (age 14 and 11) and we will apply CR-1 and 2 visa.

We have read about CR1 documentations and seemed it clear enough for now, but we are not sure what are the documents for applying CR2 visa (visa for stepchildren)...and how will be the process of our visa, will it be hard to apply CR 1-2 considering the number of people in one family?

Anyone who has experienced or know about this, please kindly assist us

Many thanks in advance

Just go up to the guides and follow. There's nothing special really to do. I-130 will be filled out for each immigrate so there's 3 of you. $420 for each.

Get your evidence together. I would suggest going to your countries forums here and reading the interview reviews. Is your embassy high fraud or difficulty? Now you can read it all. the USC needs to be getting paperwork in order now. Good luck.

Same thing as you would be sponsoring a spouse. The I-130 form and a G325A since they are over 16. Read the guides its all there.

Also read the I-130 instructions, they specifically state what is needed for step children. :)

Yes I ve gone through the guidelines but my daughter will be above 18 at the time of my marriage ...the guidelines say that the stepchild must be below 18 at the time of marriage ....the reality is that I am meeting my husband since last 4 years but his divoce was delayed due to some family matters ...now he has cleared his papers and we will be getting married in dec in seattle . But in this waiting period my daughter has completed her 18 yrs, in aug. Please guide .

If you were not married before your child turned 18, then she is not considered an eligible step-child and as such does not qualify to be petitioned by your husband. You'd have to petition her yourself as a green card holder.
