ok, we have a question again....when you are at the interview, do they talk to you and ask you questions about your criminal record before they deny it or do they deny you regardless? This is for an assault.....

thanks,

Hi Smallcan

My situation was that they wanted my court record and I didn't had it with me for the interview because I could deliever a clean police record.

That's the reason I didn't think about that they needed this.

After I sended this record to them they denied the visa and sended me the package with I-601 form.

So I guess that they will give him this in hand at this interview

I told Mike yesterday that you were in doubt about how he is able to visit you.

And he told me that for sure he can because he don't need a passport to go anyway.

I wish I lived in Canada and had this possibility.

I am still not sure if he gotta fill out this form I-601

In my eyes his conviction are not too criminal.

Mine is worser. But it went out to be a probation on 2 years and I payed a fee for the courtcase.

I hope they will look at that I wasn't in jail

THis is not true.. while it is true that Canadian Citizens can enter the US without visa.. if they have been found to be inadmissible to enter the US.. it doesn't matter if they are from Canada or anywhere else.. They are inadmissible until they get a waiver of that inadmissibility. For Canadian Citizens for visiting purposes, this waiver is done by applying for a Canadian Border Crossing Card at any POE.

Ziggy, how long does the canadian border crossing card take? Is it something that we apply for while waiting for the waiver?

Thanks for your help....

I was denied in at my interview in Australia because of an Assault x2, they didnt ask anything about the circumstances they just said that I was inadmissable. I filed the waiver and it was approved through Bangkok in 5.4 weeks.
