Hello everybody, finally I will go to my interview on the 25 of september. What a stress!!! I am so scared! Checking and checking the paperwork again, the more i read it the more doubts I have. I really hope you can help.

For example, it asks "Do you intend to work in the US (if yes, give the name and complete address of employer) Of course I will want to work in the future, but I don't have a job there yet, what should I answer to this question?

Another doubt I have is concerning the same form, but for my daughter who's immigrating with me, what should I answer in your opinion where it asks the purpose of her trip?

Moreover, it asks if anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on my behalf. Do they want me to write my boyfriend (the petitioner) name? Or should I say no?

Oh do I need to submit his tax return also or the w2 tax statement is enough?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am going crazy here, I know you have or had the same concern :)

Thank you very much for your help.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples how on to fill out the forms

Your daughter's form can simply say: relocating to the US following my father/mother (sorry your timeline is empty and I don't know if you are a lady or a gent)

For the tax requirements, you may want to read your packet 3 carefully; as every embassy describes exactly what's needed. You can also click on the Italian flag, under your your name, to access the embassy portal and read the reviews (you will find lots of answers to your questions there).

This is what I'd like to know as well!

I intend to work after I get permission to do so but I'm not emigrating for the purpose of working and I don't want to give the impression that I intend to walk straight into a job without going through the proper channels.

Hi,

Dont get panic about your visa.

Just answer to your question asked.

They will ask on the basis of the Visa you received.

Regarding the work question, just be honest:

Yes, after receiving Employment Authorization / Employer unknown at this stage.

Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf? No, unless you were petitioned in the past (technically, the K1 is a nonimmigrant visa).

Good luck :)

Thank you all very much for your help! I didn't see there were precompilated forms, that will make it a lot easier, I am glad I did everything correct so far. I have one more question, do I need to file the following forms in the name of my daughter also?

DS 230

DS 156K

Thank you all again :)

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves consular forms. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
