Hi! I submitted the I-130 packet on 8/26 and received my first notification on 9/3. I would like to be proactive and get started on what's next. From my understanding the financial aspect comes next in the process. Any tips or recommendations on what documents I should begin to gather ? I also am going to create monthly folders and keep track of all te communications, money xfers, activity between my husband and I following the i130 submittal to provide at time of interview. Any suggestions ?

first suggestion is to face the fact that you may be diagnosed with OCD ;)

secondly... head on over to the nvc thread for the current month.. it is all there. first thing to do is order tax transcripts from 2010-2012.. much easier to deal with than copying an entire tax package

I would love to see that notebook come interview time lol

Go to the NVC filers thread and read post #1. I did the same thing with folders made life so much easier.

OCD is an understatement but I think that comes in handy with things like this. My ocd already kicked in so I already have the tax transcripts from '10-'12. Thanks for the tip idea9dv.gif

I am sending my i-130 this week (God willing) and I already have my tax transcripts and started rough drafting the other paperwork.......Im glad I am not the only one that is thinking ahead :)
