Finally my senator is helping me with my case. My Senator called my local field office and asked them to request my file to be transferred from NBC to them for processing. Hopefully in next few days they will be on it.

Are you sure asking NBC to send the file to your local office is a good idea at this point? Your timeline isn't complete so can't tell where you stand but I personally think that if your petition is sitting at NBC for couple months then it might be beneficial to get it transferred to local office but if it has been more than 3 months then probably it wouldn't be a good idea.

Just a thought...

Just called Tier2 officer and he said if I don't hear anything in next 3 months call us back. Funny how they have different statements. smile.png

This is just insane...we both are around the same timeline so if i were to call now probably they will tell me that it would take 6 months from now. :)

Why is USCIS site showing oct 22 as a priority date? When I did read that some people from jan 2013 already received their NOA2. This is very frustrating for me and as well as for my wife in india. Anyone from march 2013 had any luck yet?

No, I have not contacted senator or congressman. So far I have only heard that they tell you it will take 6-12 months and they are not much help either.

According to my Senator my file was going to be transferred to local field office anyways. They said instead of waiting couple more months we will get it transferred now.

Hi!

My hubby called USCIS today and he talked to a very rude representative who was basically in a hurry to get out of the phone and my hubby was was told that he will be receiving a letter on Sept. 12, I think somebody from here was also told that same thing that he/she will be receiving a letter. What kind of letter is it? What I'm thinking it could be an NOA2 or an RFE. I'm just hoping what the representative said was true though, atleast will be receiving an update and not just waiting for nothing!

Did they create a service request? Most likely it was a service request which they respond exactly within 14 days +/- 2 days. Or, if you are lucky a NOA 2.

I worry it's the letter informing us that it will now take up to 12 months for petition approval. Lots of April filers have already received this letter.
