OMG I wonder how they determine who they believe and who they don't believe. You live with him... IN HIS COUNTRY that is just crazy...

I know! I wonder if they did the RFE today and that's why my status hasn't changed online or anything. I'm going to call tomorrow and ask about it. I know they can't tell me what it's for but I can make sure it was sent to my mom's house in the USA so we get it quicker than waiting here in CR. I changed my address to her USA address a month ago.

I contacted my congressman and senator, again. Just got a response from my congressman that they have issued me an RFE, but I got no notice of it in email, online at my status or mail. They said this which makes me think they want more evidence of our relationship? I've been freaking living with the man for over almost three years!

We understand that [my name] submitted a considerable amount of documentation to support the petition. However, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has reviewed the documentation and determined that additional evidence is required. [my name] must respond to the specific requests contained in the RFE in order for USCIS to proceed with processing.

Hi,

Same thing happened to one of February fillers... I'm not sure if it is the same situation like living together..., but i know that after they contacted their senator or congressmen they received RFE. Check the February tread for more info

I'm February filler transferred to Texas and still waiting... My husband went there last week and get info that they finished with background checks, but the officer was waithing for our K3, and now when they are tie together it's one last step to visa. Texas is so slow...

Good luck

I hope they did the RFE today. That would just suck if it was done last week. On a good note, I'm glad they touched your file. You went to TSC... and so did we. My husband thinks we have just the worst luck. He wanted CSC ... and so did I. Hopefully your RFE is something tiny and you can send what they need the day after you receive the notice. Fedex can deliver the next day if needed.

What scares me is the backlog at the NVC. Its beyond me why they don't combine the USCIS and the NVC steps into one to save time. Too many hands touching the files. I was looking at the immigrant visa info on the embassy website today. Interview Mon, Tues and Thurs 12-1:30 I know Im ahead of myself. just checking out the info

Well, lets just say all these approvals that are happening now are probably gonna get snagged when they hit the NVC. Its already taking along time, add a few more approvals..... smh

Good luck

Thank you for telling me! I went and checked out Feb filers and sent the member a PM. Hopefully they can tell me what happened. The difference is I haven't received an update online or email saying that I have an RFE on my case. Just the congressman sent me the email that said I had an RFE.

Here's the full email for posterity sake:

"Greetings

Thank you for your recent inquiry on behalf of your constituent, [my name], regarding the Request for Evidence (RFE) she received concerning the I-130 Petition for Alien Relative, filed on behalf of [his name].

As soon as USCIS receives the requested response to the RFE, we assure you that this case will be processed as expeditiously as possible under applicable laws, regulations and policies.

We hope the information provided is helpful. If we may be of assistance in the future, please let us know.

Thank you for your inquiry and please do not hesitate to contact us again if you have further questions regarding this case. "

Yes, that's why i told you. Same thing happened to them, USCIS replayed to Congressmen or Senator... and they received e-mail the next day. Maybe they just buying time... do not worry that much, that was first thing that cross my mind when i read your post about RFE.

Let's hope for good news by the end of the week :)

No, he/she didn't post anything yet but if you check February excel document, he's 21 February filler transferred to NSC, and for RFE is date December 4.

Yes, way to long and it's about time to get approvals for Christmas.
