Hello, my Husband has been approved for his Visa. His flight has been booked and I have a question concerning POE. He will be flying out of Dakar, Senegal & will have a 5 hour layover in Brussels, Belguim & will then entry the U.S. in Chicago, IL. My question is: with him stopping in Brussels, Belgium is this a POE or would his POE be Chicago, IL? Also, if Belgium is not a POE, would he have to go through any form of customs after landing in Brussels or would he just go to his connecting flight?

Thanks to everyone in advance for your help & assistance!

You will want to check Belgiums requirements for your Husband's country to see if he needs a transit visa for the airport. https://dofi.ibz.be/sites/dvzoe/EN/Application-guides/Pages/Transit_via_a_Belgian_airport.aspx

But yes Chicago is POE

Thanks so very much!!! The links you provided were helpful. Now I know that because my Husband has a valid (unexpired) U.S. stamped passport he doesn't need an Airport transit visa. Thanks again!!!!
