Is there any reason to bring the old expired passport with CFO stamp in it when visiting? Some have told my wife she needs it, but I don't see why.

Is she a greencard holder already? If she is, she does not need to bring her old passport.. When i was a greencard holder before, i just used my renewed phil passport before and didn't have any problems.. But nothing to lose anyway if she wanna bring it just to be sure..

Yeah, it is still there. I just don't think it's necessary. But she read on a Pinay site somewhere that she should bring it. I think it's just some Pinay rumor being spread, kind of like the hundreds of pics & email/chat logs she was told to bring to her interview before.

Doesn't hurt to bring it, better to have too much documents, expired passport, Marriage licensed, etc.

I have that kind of issue when i visit Philippines, they are super strict it makes my hair super curlygirlwerewolf2xn.gif

Why is it better? It's that thought process that causes confusion on so many levels with the VJ process. Like bring SO MANY documents to the interview as proof of bona fide relationship, or people saying that 125% of poverty level is needed during NVC/USEM process. Or sending the bulk of documents over to the PI as "originals", costing so much more than necessary for the petitioner. Grrrrrhhhhhh!!!

Sorry, just ranting. I hate the rumor game. It sucks.

But you're right. ONE MORE passport won't hurt anything...

I don't understand why she would need it. So, I wouldn't if I were her.

Hello, I just got curious about the confusion that you have mention. So what are really the necessary documents should I bring to interview as proof of bona fide relationship? Not many? Like how many pages of chat logs for example? Do you mind if you share me those documents? I have been spending couple of nights just to finish copy and pasting our chat logs on MS Word since me and my fiance are more into chatting than calling. Do I need to start the chat logs from when we first met online or do I need to start after we met in person? I would really appreciate all the help a lot.. Thank you!

My fiance took several pages of skype chats and emails that she had printed out, but the CO never even looked at them. She asked to see pics, and looked at a few. She looked at my ITR, but nothing else financial (I wasn't close to the 100% mark) If you are well above the 100% mark just with ITR alone, then you probably won't need any other documentation such as account balances, pay stubs, letter from employer, etc. (I had sent a letter of employment because I mis-read the instructions, and my fiance just showed it without being asked). Your I-134 needs to have an original signature, blue ink would help identify it if you haven't gotten that from your petitioner yet, but the CO actually FELT our I-134 (I tried to pass a copied one, just to see if it would work; it didn't).
