In the process of filling out my DS-156, its asking for the address i'll stay at in the USA and what the purpose of my trip is... we won't get a place to live until we're married since we'll receive a military house, so do i leave this section and the section about the purpose of my trip blank? They really don't make these things very clear...

We are putting "Unknown at this time. See attached DS-156 supplemental page." The suppletmental page then explains where he is stationed and why we don't have an address and when we will know.

It worked for us with the I-129F. There is also a military hotline you can call for this stuff. I don't know the number off-hand, sorry! They did explain that this is okay. I have heard that your address is much more important during the AOS.

For the purpose of my trip I'm putting "marriage and immigration". From what I can tell, this particular form is somewhat generic and is probanly used for a number of different things.

Also, I have a question about form DS-156K, it says i need to attach my birth certificate, evidence of engagement, evidence of financial support, and my police certificate... shall i attach them with a paperclip to the form? I understand I have to take these things to the interview too, so im not sure if they need me to bring those required to the interview or actually attach them.

No problem! We found that so confusing too but there's really no other way to do it that makes sense. It's the honest truth. No idea!

From what I understand that is something we take to the interview with us. I would attach them with a paper clip or put them in a folder. I guess it depends on what kind/how much evidence you need to supply. I don't think it matters too much if it's attached or not, as long as its all together and organized.

No. Do not attach them like the DS-156K says. Take them with you to the London Embassy on the day of the Interview. Note you won't need evidence of engagement, though. London doesn't want to see that.

I don't understand why I don't attach them if the form says to do so?

Just keep them all together, but don't staple them. As far as I know the embassies don't appreciate staples because a lot of the paperwork will be rearranged.
