All i know about the background checks are, my fiancee the USC, got a name hit and they had to check background, this was before we even got the NOA2, they check with ALL agencies, fbi, cia, etc etc and there is about 10 checks that needs to be done, I think the case is sent to Washington DC for this to be done. Im not sure about the checks at AOS level, sorry.
