We have received NOA 1 on 9th september 2013 and data of approval on website is 3rd september 2013, I am expecting some results of NOA 2 in next month and so. well on this 31st january 2014, it's been 150 days. I have done some analysis and found out that most of the NOA2 declared in the days ranging from 150 days to 200 days.

Good luck to all of you!!

Stand alone I-130 (not filed from abroad, not a DCF, not with a beneficiary from the Philippines) takes about 7-10 months right now.

Go over to March, April, May and June threads and you will see that many people are still waiting.

September filers haven't even started being transferred yet. It's August's turn now.

We received NOA 1 on 9th september and approved on 3rd september 2013. Waiting for NOA2 and further process.

Good Luck to everyone

approval = NOA2

I guess you mean USCIS accepted your case on Sept 3rd :)

I am so sorry you have to go through this, but I'm glad you have us to vent to and get support from. I can only imagine the struggles you've been going through, but is there no way to visit your wife or take time off work to be there for her when the baby is born? Do you have paternal leave you can take meanwhile this whole process is still going on? Maybe try talking to your employer about your issues right now, because they can't help you if they don't know your situation. It's better to ask than not try.

I have never lived with my husband either, only been with him in 2-3 week intervals every few months for almost 5 years now .. and the longest I've ever been with him is 1 month. I know how hard it is being apart, we all do, and we always have to get used to being alone again after we/they leave and be "happy" just with talking to them on the phone/skype/whatever. But I had a thought the other day that I'd rather be sad missing my husband than be sad that I don't have anyone or be in an unhappy relationship, and that made me snap out of my self-pity party. I'm not gonna lie. I have bad days where I am just not fun to be around because of my mood, and it's mostly brought on by being so lonely, but I have more good days than bad because I make sure to talk to my husband everyday, and we laugh over silly things and talk about our future plans.

I admitted to my husband recently that there were moments where I felt I was depressed and instead of wallowing and falling deeper into it, I decided to take action and said I was going to start going to the gym more often and maybe take up running to focus my energy on something I can control rather than something I cannot. So my advice is to maybe try and find a hobby that you enjoy instead of trying to only gain happiness from your spouse. Go out with friends and family. Get out of the house, because if your just go from work to home and only talk to your spouse and not really do much else (I was guilty of this), then you're going to get stuck in a redundant routine that will start to wear on you.

I hope that this helps you and anyone else struggling. I didn't just get to this way of thinking rapidly .. it's taken me years to figure out a way to deal that worked for me. smile.png

Thank you very much for the kind words and different perspective. Every little bit helps.

I'll be with my wife for about two months with the baby then will have to return home for work after having been on medical leave. After that who knows when I'll get to spend any significant time with our baby past 1-2 weeks of vacation every 6 months or so. So it will really suck because I might miss their first words and steps given how long USCIS has been taking lately and all the unpredictable scenarios that go along with this whole process.

Oh that's good to hear! I was under the impression that you would miss out from the very beginning! At least there's that silver lining, right? And you don't necessarily have to miss their first words and steps, because 1. Babies don't start doing that til around 1 year anyway so I wouldn't worry because I'm sure this will all be over by then and 2. If by some chance that it's not over, there's the awesome technology we have to take advantage of - Skype! If your wife doesn't have something to use Skype with, maybe that can be a Valentines or Anniversary present? Just an idea! Stay positive and allow yourself to have your bad days too, but don't let most of your days be dreary. Think of your lovely wife, the love that's worth waiting for, and your precious gift that will join your lives very soon. happy.png

Woe. dry.png

So, I got a fancy schmancy letter with "U.S. Senate" and "John Cornyn - Texas" all over it ... but what was inside?

A typical blanket statement saying that USCIS are reviewing petitions from February 2013 and that I was under normal processing times, but they understood my concerns and were proud to represent the people of Texas. Did they even read my letter?! I was so annoyed that I just tossed the letter. Waste of time.

Yeah, that's all true I guess. Just hope it doesn't have to come to that. It's hard for me to think I'll be living with my wife when this is all over with because we've been living apart as a couple for so long and I'm just so used to being separated. It's going to be very weird and surreal and I'm not going to truly believe it until well after she arrives. If that makes sense. Feels like such a distant idea right now. :/ Thanks again for the help and advice. It's much appreciated. :)

Does anyone received NOA 2 ?????

As I mentioned in your other topic, only a few, and those were luck of the draw or expedites.

We will most likely have to wait until they transfer our cases to another service center, but as far as I am aware, they haven't even gotten to August. It's only been 4 months. We still have a while to wait.

Don't want to get anyone's hopes up ... but after looking at July's approvals after transfer, they seem to get approved quickly at either CSC or TSC, and are in the 6 month range for their NOA2. If this stays consistent, we may start to see some action in March. Fingers crossed!!! ClockWatch2.gif

It seems like you and your husband ought to start following up with USCIS and/or NVC to find out where your file is. It definitely should have made it to NVC by now.

Call USCIS and try to get through to a Tier 2 supervisor to see if you can get some action on this. Find out if it was sent, and if it wasn't, get them to find it and send it. If it has been sent, then you need to contact NVC to see if they've received it.

Several people, including Kaylara, have posted in other threads about the exact wordings you should use to get this information.

Good luck!

Is your timeline updated?

You're very welcome! Yeah, we were just talking about this last night. We won't have to worry about how much time we have left together or have to pack him all up again to leave. It's going to be amazing. smile.png

Yeah, it will be quite a shock at first and I won't believe it for a while. I can't wait, but who knows when it will happen. Ugh.
