Is filing through attorney?

hi to all,

i wanted to know about guys opinion that how i file my i-130 application through attorney or myself. i know it looks stupid to ask but to make sure that things goes smooth. And wanted to know how many of u consulted attorneys or file through them.

And initially i have to file only 1-130 no need of affidavit of support required yet, until NVC asked so.

very few members here use an attorney.

if, after you read the guides, you feel like you have a good grasp of the process and can complete it yourself, then go for it. if you are overwhelmed by the process and confused.. get a lawyer.

Attorneys are good if you have several red flags, any bans or waivers needed, or criminal pasts by either spouse. They're also good if you do not have the time or the ability to understand and fill out the forms properly. (Good attorneys can help with this, bad attorneys will simply make your life harder... )

If you have a straight forward case and have the time and understand to do the forms, by all means do it yourself.

If you have extra bucks from Tax return then go ahead and hire a attorny if not then follow the guides here on vj
