They won't send it back. Shouldn't have sent the original. Hopefully they won't lose it in the process.

Learn to read and understand the process. No one asks for your original naturalization certificate - only copies. You can ask them to return it by supplying a copy or you have to get another original of your naturalization certificate. And by the way - which form asks for the original naturalization certificate? If you sent it with your I129f - you misread something. If you sent it with your I134 - you misread something. If you sent it with your I864 - good - there they ask for it but not for the original. But you are not there yet - that's the AOS stage; why did you send it already? Good Luck

Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications.

Look at the darker colored bold words. They will return your form once they are thru with it. I think you should be fine.

lol, oh man thats not good. i remember when i was applying for my US passport, i had to send the original, and at first i showed the postal lady the copies and she is like no you have to give the original. I almost had a heart attack giving the original away, cause it takes a while to get it back if you loose it. But i guess they do send it back, i got mine back.
