Are we crazy to schedule medical exam at St.Lukes on Mon Oct 21,interview in Manila Fri Oct.25 and expect to fly back to US together on Wed. Nov.6(7 business days after interview)??I really want to be there for both medical and interview but only have so many vacation days,so we are trying to do it all in one trip.Planning to use the branch2GO to expedite "visa in hand".Thanks in advance.

I will advise not to book a flight unless you have the visa in hand. I expected to get mine two weeks after interview, but got it after 3 weeks. Anything can happen.

Depends. Some get theirs within days of the interview. My fiancee got hers 24 days after her interview.

Have a plan B ready.

I got my visa 3 days after the interview...but I still wouldn't plan things until you get your visa and done with CFO...anything can happen. I think you need a bigger allowance for the medical exam and interview.

Sort of crazy wink.png Medical is a two day process so it won't be completed until the 22nd and most likely the file will not be sent over to the embassy until the 23rd, after that it needs to be matched up with the existing file at USEM before your 25th interview time. Can it be done? Possible, but I know of a few lately that have not been so lucky and have been sitting in AP waiting.... for weeks.

Expecting to get your visa within 7 business days of the interview is a plan for disaster. It does happen, but for many it doesn't even come close to 7 business days. One reason why the embassy states in their instructions letter to not schedule travel until the visa is in your hands.

I wish you luck, but I think your schedule is so tight its asking for a left jab.

And I did you schedule for CFO and acquiring their sticker?
