Case Under Review at NVC

Hi Guys,

This is a question for all the Jamaica filers. I am new to this forum but am just trying to get some idea as to how long it takes the NVC to review a case before the interview with Kingston. My lawyer submitted the affadavit of support package with all fees to the NVC last Friday and they are currently reviewing our case. Any chance hubby (Omar) can get an interview in October- I've also got my Congressman behind the case pushing for an expedited interview so I am praying!! I really miss my husband :-(

Apologies in advance if this has been asked a million times already. Just need some guidance because I am going crazy!

_{I would say the whole process with NVC takes about one month to a month and a half. When I did the process, everything went fairly quickly. The sooner you get the requested forms and information to the them, the faster the process. In you have your KGN case # you can check the status online at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx.}

_{Once they get the DS-260, it takes about a week or 2 before the schedule the interview. I hope this helps.}

Thanks for your reply! I keep checking the CEAC website and all it says is "At NVC" ugh! I am not a very patient person and the waiting is killing me. They have all of the paperwork and fees have been received. It's been a week and still no change in status. I don't know how I am gonna make it through this process lol!

there will be a few days delayed between the time the documents are reviewed and entered in their system.

if you call at the end of the day, you can receive an update by phone after it is reviewed up to a week in advance of the official notification by email

documents are taking about three weeks to review right now
