I cannot find the thread where we discussed the virtues of dealing with the State of Hawaii for anything important like obtaining a certificate of marriage in time to avoid going out of status. ROC Biometrics 10/1/15

ROC Approval 4/6/16 (waiting for actual card)

Permanent Green Card Arrived 4/14/16
Naturalization Interview 2/22/17 APPROVED!

Oath Ceremony 3/21/17--Joan is a US Citizen!

Dual Citizenship 7/7/22 Joan is now a Dual US/Filipino Citizen!

Mahalo Steve, this shall be usefull, when I need more copies of my marriage certificate. So I guess your wife is learning Ilocano now, and making a lot of trips to Waipahu for food.

HA! No there are plenty of tagalog speaking pinay here. I do work in Waipahu, but we haven't shopped there yet...well, not true...Elena's catered our wedding..yum!

We're planning to get married in hawaii.

We're same sex couple; my fiance lives in a non-legal state and i'm from the philippines. Btw, we want to plan this out while we're applying for our k1 application.

Can anyone help us out? From the procedures and suggestions as to where can we held a simple ceremony. Please please!
