Finally...Issued!

It has been a long, long process since we started this last October 19th, but we are finally in "Issued" status. Hip, hip, hooray!

In the Philippines I believe she has to take a seminar before she can leave for the U.S. Does anyone know how she accomplishes this?

Congrats...the seminar your fiancée has to attend is the CFO ...tell your fiancée to attend the seminar as soon as she received her visa ...she can check the CFO website for more details...Good luck on your fiancées trip to USA and time to celebrate...hooray!

Here is the official site and some info from Hank's site

My fiancée just went yesterday for the CFO class

She is getting the GCC certificate during the same trip to Manila for her medical at St Lukes (this is happening right now)

Next month she will get her interview at the embassy...receive her visa in 7-10 days....then I will book a flight for her to come

to the USA

On this trip to the USA I will give her an extra day in manila to go back to CFO and get the "sticker" that MUST be affixed to her visa/passport

in order to be allowed to leave the country

I did it this way for one reason

THe manila CFO classes are first come first served....15 people in the AM and 15 in the PM....if we waited to do the class until her flight to the USA....what if she could not get into the class the day before her flight here? We'd be screwed

CONGRATS! HOW LONG WERE U PUT ON AP?

Since June 24. Then on August 23, it changed to Ready. On August 26, back to AP. Fianlly on August 28, Issued. They should be more clear on the meaning of these statuses...uh statusi? After all, we are doing this the legal way. Thanks for the congrats!
