My question is for anyone who has used James' Shortcuts successfully. I was thinking since most paper you receive from the USCIS or or govt. agencies is on a non-copier/printer type paper, doesn't that cause a problem when using the shortcuts and submitting the forms to the NVC ?

Sent I-130 to TSC

Received NOA1 from CSC with a date of 8/15/06

I-130 petition approved 4/16/2008 after 19 months.

Got IIN from NVC 5-13-08

Paid AOS fee online 5-14-08, Paid IV Fee online 5-27-08

Sent I-864 forms 5-27-08

Sent DS-230 forms 5-28-08

6-2-08 called NVC and msg says "received all information, processing will take 4-6 weeks"

6-13-08 called NVC, CR1 is complete, sent RFE for CR2. returned to NVC, waitn on result

6-26-08 case complete/approved. Waiting to be transferred to U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou, China for interview date

7-7-08 Petition forwarded to Guanzhou, China. Awaiting interview letter.

Hi !

We are a successful James' shortcut couple-I have to say, they were a HUGE timesaver.

I used both plain HP paper and Staples brand-no problems with either one.

If you're concerned over the NVC paper having a watermark on it-do not fear.

You're fine with plain white paper.

Best Wishes to you !!!

Soulm,

I need your advice. :help:

I see that you have submitted your I-864 forms after October.

May I ask what I-864 version did you use?

This the only I-864 that I found: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864.pdf

I-864 - Affidavit of Support

And it expires on Sept. 30, 2006.

Is this the same form that you used?

If not, what I-864 version should I use. I would like to try Jamie's shortcuts in submitting the I-864 and I-864A.?

Thanks so much!

The September expiration date has nothing to do with whether it is valid for use by the public, it refers to internal administrative review of forms. So not to worry, the forms on the USCIS website are the most recent.
