Hi, I am trying to apply for my fiance to come to the US and I had a quick question. When sending in your pictures for the I-129F do you write the description of the picture on the back of the photo? Also would you recommend writing it or typing it and pasting it on the back of the pictures. I would appreciate your reply.

Thanks

I hand wrote both of our full names, the date the photo was taken, and the location on the back of each photo. It's up to you how you want to do it and what you want to include, but I suggest at least those 3 things be on there somehow. :)

No you don't. One thing you do need is the date. That will prove you two have meed each other within the recent two years.

Oh no we didn't send any pics of us being together with our I-129F Application

We followed the info for a K-1 on the USCIS site

They never mentioned they required pics of us together with the application. Only the passport type ones of each of us

We only wish we'd discovered this site back then There's so much info and help on here that USCIS doesn't give on thier site

Will us not sending pics of us together hurt our application I sure hope not.

Have a good day everybody Good Luck to all

It depends on the evidence you have submitted together with your response to question 18 and whether or not it satisfies an adjudicator that you have met the requirements of having met in the two year period. If an adjudicator feels that additional evidence is needed, he/she will issue an RFE for such.

Try not to worry about something that may not even happen :)

I was pretty sure I'd get an RFE for things I thought were necessary to include with my petition. But we were approved rather quickly (for CSC) without the need for more evidence.

However, it may not hurt to separate some pictures just in case....

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

I think putting date and place where it was taken on the back of the pics will suffice.

You can also enclose a copy of your passport page where visa to her country is stamped on. This way no one will ever doubt you were actually there. ;-)

Good luck.
