OK, the signature block on our approval letter was from a local office near me...not anywhere near CSC. So, I think CSC is sending these (at least some of them) to local service centers to be adjudic

So, if this helps, my case was transferred from VSC to some mysterious local office. I got an approval with no interview or RFE a month later.

Thanks Navyk for your input. Law clearly states that the local adjucating director has the right to make the decision on his desecration based on supporting documets submitted.

Has anyone gone through similar experience where I-751 applicaiton is transferred to local office from Service center without sending RFE? I might have gone bit crazy but my understanding is that USCIS service center initially request for supporting documents if adjucating director is not satisfied with the supporting documents sent along with I-751 application. Upon receiving RFE docuements, they re-evaluate and make the decision if the case should be transferred to local service center for intervew or approve/deny.

Just wondering if anyone's i-751 has approved without an interview from local USCIS field office?

Since august VSC started transfering applications to CSC to expedite the application processing. In fact service centers always transfer cases to different service centers or local offices to balace work loads and meet their six months deadlines. So case transfer is normal. Now second question is the timeline: cases are processed in the order they are received unless adjudicating officer smells something fishy. Under such scenario, officers are required to send RFE to the applicant. It is always applicant responsibility to prove the marriage is bonafied.

So in general there is nothing wrong with casses being transferred to another service centers. Just chill and don't lose sleep over this. Cases have been approved well before their targeted date. So majority of the cases will be approved (few might be exceptions).

A lot of times people do not pay close attention while gathering supporting documents, especially those are the ones who gets RFE And longer approval timelime. Those who have submitted documents covering their entire period of marriage as husband and wife shouldn't have any issues. At least that is my personal experience. My case was approved in 3 months and 15 days.

I agree except that this time the cases are actually getting transferred to Local Offices under the supervision of CSC. That is the reason why a few cases of August have been approved and one case of September was recently been approved.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

i checked my case status today and got a message that my case is transferred to local office on Nov 18th, 2013

Date of I751 :10/11/13

NOA1 date: 10/16/13

Biometric: 11/13/13

Transfer : 11/18/13

Should everything be okay?

Olaru Steve and a few other contributors are right!

My case was transferred from VSC to the local office where it was approved, without any RFE, and in my case, i didn't receive any letters throughout my processing until i received by card, all notifications were through texts/emails ,So anyone in similar situation shouldn't stress about it

Based on my experience, people run into problems when they don't include all documents covering the "3 years of the marriage", and i mean all documents requested and more should be added, selecting what you want USCIS to see or not isnt ideal, all relevant documents covering the 3 years should be sent even if they have copies

Aries,

The documentation included with the I751 should cover the two years of marriage.

It could not cover three, since the first GC is only assigned for the first two years your the marriage.

Unless someone gets married and does not apply for the GC after a year of the marriage, then that person could include three years worth of documentation, but that is not the case with most.

Hi everyone:

Today I did received my green card and it was mailed on 11/25/2013. My case was transferred from VSC to office in Sterling, VA. I did not know why and I suppose that I will have an RFE and maybe and interview but tanks God nothing. I sent my initial package on 08/29/2013 and by 11/25/2013 my GC was sent.
