Just wanted to let you know that I have finally filed the I-130 petition for my husband! The G-325A he mailed to me from Morocco arrived in only 8 days. He sent it regular mail and we expected it to be at least 2 weeks or more but it arrived in just 8 days. I just came home from mailing it UPS. It is guaranteed to be there by Thursday. So we are now officially in the process!

Hi. I did not send the form to my husband. He printed it out and filled it out and signed it and mailed it to me and he mailed it from Morocco through regular postal mail and it arrived in only 8 days. He thought it would take much longer and I don't know what the normal time frame is for mail between US and Morocco. I wish you luck that you get the form back from him very soon and you can get the petition filed. It is an exciting moment.

YAY!!!!! Abbi!!!! Now you will slowly find out how your nerves really are.... LOL I'm so excited that your process has officially started. You will feel so many things along the way, relief, joy, some aggravation, impatience, but above all... more closeness to your hubby. There are some nights that are more difficult to sleep than others, but before you know it, you'll be waiting for the interview date to be assigned. kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

Thanks Happytobe. It was an emotional event to actually file the petition. It has been a long time coming and when I left the UPS store where I mailed it and got back in my car I just started crying. It was a relief to know that the petiton is actually filed. I want my husband here with me TODAY. Not looking forward to the long wait but at least the process is started and I am planning my next visit to see my husband. Unfortunately because of work this will be a short visit - about 10 days - but at least I will get to see him again. I am missing him a lot.

When are you leaving to go see your husband? I keep hoping to hear that you have an interview date. Hopefully you will find out any day now.

I'm guessing they will assign a date sometime next week for sometime in October, or maybe that is wishful thinking. I am going there at the end of October, so we are hoping he is able to come home with me. I'm just scared to hope too much. That aside, the recent approvals have given me more hope than I had at the beginning of the year. If he interviews in October and is approved, that will give him time with his family that he can really enjoy. I know his mom is so sad, but happy, of the prospect of him moving here with me. It will be very emotional for everyone, I'm sure. We are just ecstatic that the time that we picked for me to come is working out with his interview. As long as he doesn't get a long AP or denied, it should be really good. We will spend several days in Marrakech and the rest of the time with his family. Since we didn't get to honeymoon in December, we thought that would be good. I'm glad that you will be able to go and visit your husband again, even if it is only for ten days.
