I am presently in SE Asia and want to mail my initial paperwork. I will be here until Sept 10th and presently having my mail forwarded to a friend's house until I get back to the USA.

Does anyone know if the envelope which contains the NOA1 will be forwarded to my friend's house or would it be returned to the government office?

There is a chance I will be back before the NOA1 is even sent out but I do want to get this process started as well as get as much of the paperwork done while I am in Laos.

Thanks.

I just checked the envelope from USCIS there is nothing on it to prohibit it from being forwarded, no DO NOT FORWARD message, so it should be forwarded to your friend's address.
