Conflicting Info Received from Service Center

I logged into my account today and noticed that there was an update dated 8/7/2013 and that our petition had been transferred to the local field office. At first I thought this meant the field office in Charlotte, NC since that is where I live. However, when I called the customer service line and went through the automated menu it told me that my case had been transferred to the local field office located in Saint Albans, Vermont.

On the drive home today I get a text message and an email that my case has been updated, then when I get home there is a letter from USCIS and it says that our case has been transferred to the Texas Service Center? Now I am really confused, can anyone point me in the right direction of who I should contact to find out exactly what is going on with our petition. Do I call the office in Vermont? The service center in Texas? Is the customer service number listed on the letter the only number to call? Is it frequent that they report out conflicting info such as this? Anyone else run into this?

Please help! :-)

Thanks in advance fellow journeyers!

Vermont has been sending some of their cases to Texas to help speed up the processing time. Mine was transferred at the end of June and there has been a few batches sent after that. It's safe to say it's in Texas. Nothing needs to be done on your part. You will receive notification of approval, RFE, etc. from Texas.
