I was thinking that as well. We've paid on the new website and the money for the courier has been taken out of my account, so I hope they don't phone up asking me to pay twice.

I paid on the website, no call and passport is due for delivery tomorrow. So you should be fine. :) Edited by Laura Clare

I didnt pay on the new website. Had no idea that option existed until i went to the interview. So the guy at the Embassy who interviewed me told me that I would receive a call from the courier to arrange payment of the delivery and delivery date.

I think maybe that second telephone number could be the actual number for the DX courier department that does all the deliveries for the London Embassy. So this is probably a good number to keep a hold of, as they should be able to tell you if they have your passport and documents ready to deliver. They will take your address and postcode and tracking number if you have one. (dont know if you have a tracking number when paying for the courier on the new website, as i didnt pay before the interview).

The woman at DX was very helpful over the telephone, and if they cant find anything in their system, then they are sure to help resolve the problem, as after i called to inquire, someone called me back the same day.. (even though i told them to call back the next day, as i was on my way to visit my sister in Wales) So they left a message for me to call them back regarding delivery payment and delivery. So it definitely moved things along. I will also update you on what happens after i call them on that number tomorrow.

ah gotcha..hopefully we both hear something soon. :)

Here's our experience thus far:

Successfully (after many failed attempts) paid the MRV fee online and booked the courier location with the new system. Decided not to pay the $30 for door delivery.

Interview date: 14th Aug (approved - told would have passport within 10 working days)

CEAC website updated to "Issued": 15th Aug

Received email from DOS London - released document related to Visa received (DX tracking number and post code were included in this email): 19th Aug

DX tracking status changed from "Booked for Collection From Collection Point": same day

DX tracking status changed form "Booked for Collection From Collection Point (Now Out For Delivery): 20th Aug...to be continued...star_smile.gif

Nevermind, got the email today that it's with the Courier. Checked the tracking and it's due for delivery tomorrow content.gif

congrats LC and emoji - you must be so excited! :)

We had our interview one day before yours so hopefully we hear something soon..my fiance spoke to the embassy today and they said 3-10 business days and this is their busiest time of the year...so hopefully we get the email tomorrow. :)

Hey everybody. My fiancé had his interview in London on August 5th and never heard from anyone until he called the embassy yesterday. He said he paid his fee for delivery but on CEAC his status is still administrative processing and has been since August 6th, the day after his interview. I don't understand, if he paid for the fee for delivery shouldn't that mean his visa is ready to be delivered? Why is it still in administrative processing?

He told me that all they said was they didn't know where his passport was, and he told me he paid the courier fee, but I was confused about that because I thought the courier would contact him and then he would pay it. So I don't know why he paid the fee to the embassy. He was really annoyed and said nobody knew what to say to him and couldn't answer his questions. He's going to call back Friday if nothing happens. I'm just wondering why his status has been in administrative processing that long, why the courier never contacted him, and why he was asked to pay the fee directly to the embassy...strange.

His passport will only be passed on to the courier once the visa has been issued. If your ceac says AP then they are probably doing extra checks first.

I would call DOS and make sure the ceac status is accurate, if you haven't already.

That doesnt make sense that the embassy doesnt know where his passport is if it has not already been passed on to the courier (and they should know if they have forwarded it). If he has called the courier and they have nothing in his name to send out yet, then it couldnt have been given to the courier yet. As they can check on their system. It would have to be in the hands of the embassy.

Did he pay the courier fee online? As i know some people payed online before being interviewed.

It is strange that this had been in administrative processing for so long. I really dont like this new system they have with the courier. So far it has involved the courier and embassy having to call me several times to keep up do date on the situation. The embassy are also going to call me tomorrow as to whether they have received my documents back, ready to pass onto the courier. I think it is alot of messing around with this new courier set up, not efficient at all Must be costing them a lot of telephone calls.

The courier service they had before was more efficient, as you could pay at a desk at the embassy, and they gave a receipt. Also the delivery was faster and no messing around with telephone calls at all. And i really do not like giving my card details over the phone to the courier service. Would much rather have done the payment at the embassy like i did for my son`s passport and register of birth. I do not understand why they have changed the courier process, as it must be costing them more in telephone calls this way. Plus it makes more work out of a simple task!

Hopefully someone here can answer this. When they deliver your Visa, do they require identification or just a signature? If they require ID, what can you use if all you have with your picture is your passport which is in the package being delivered? My fiance doesn't have any other government issued ID besides her passport. She has credit cards and a bank card in her name but nothing from her government or with her picture. Hoping some who have already had or will have their passports delivered in the near future could chime in and let me know. Hoping it's not going to be a problem. I'm sure I'm overthinking it, but better safe than sorry

It seems like a lot of people are getting confused and lost with this new system. When my fiancé had his interview, they asked him when he planned on coming over, and he said in between August 20th and 30th, and the interviewer made a note that he needed his passport back by the 20th, and he told my fiancé he would have it before the 20th no problem, and he hasn't heard from them at all.

Who is he calling? The embassy call centre or DOS? If he is calling the call centre then they are likely guessing. I've found it much better to call DOS as they know what is really going on.

If he hasn't heard any more and CEAC is saying AP, then the visa hasn't been issued yet. Your problem is nothing to do with the courier.

He has been calling the embassy. To be honest he doesn't know much about all of this, I research most of it, so there is probably a lot of miscommunication from me trying to explain to him what's going on, and for me trying to tell you guys what's going on.

What is DOS? Can someone please give me the number? I have read this thread a few times but keep getting confused with all these numbers as I am not in the UK, and I'm trying to relay all of it to my fiancé haha.
