it can be anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. Most around that 3 to 4 weeks. hang on. Some after 2 weeks if they haven't got SSN they go to the SS office. You should do that monday.

tomas has it switched to optimized yet?

sikilizobu - It takes about a month or two after you POE. When you pay it has no bearing if it was paid before you entered the USA (and likely before the USCIS receives the packet from the CBP.) Keep watching the ELIS site. I would go get your SSN from the local SSA office. Use this guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/405546-ssn-howto/

Count from your POE date. The date you paid it doesn't matter, because they were waiting for your POE anyway. Mine is POE 30th July and says the same. I think we have to wait until it goes to "Optimized". It just takes a while.

Only count from POE date like Lost at Sea has said. They cannot get your "do not open" package until after you POE. The CBP has to send them that before they even start on the green card production.

MY TIMELINE:

06/03 - Interview

06/04 - Received Visa

06/04 - Paid New Immigrant Visa Fee via ELIS

06/10 - POE via Land CDN/USA border

06/19 - USCIS recieves and logs my case

07/03 - ELIS updates to "Optimized - In process

07/10 - ELIS updates to "Closed" - Card Produced

07/13 - Card arrives

I had made this thread and had hoped to keep all the green card questions within it:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/439537-green-card-production-after-elis/

I went to get my SSN on July 2. It arrived on July 10. I always wonder if you do not receive an SSN, if doing so helps move the process along.

Super. Will post to your other thread when I find out more. I got locked out of the ELIS system this week (it tells me I've logged in wrong too many times, which is a lie) and got fed up with the tech support guy for it not actually providing me with decent tech support. I'll get my husband to have a go at making it work (or calling tech support again) next week. smile.png The US gov makes some of the worst decisions in regards to their payment systems.

Edit: I just got it to let me back in. Woo. But boo, still only says "accepted".

I found that it would occasionally lock me out too and just leaving it alone for a day would make it reset itself. It's really a badly done website. I had a "survey" emailed to me after I signed up and proceeded to tell them what a badly designed website they have. All that gov't money, you'd think they'd build a half decent website to take money from people!
