Yes, you and me both. It's infuriating and our own government treats us citizens like #######.

I have been hearing a lot about DACA being the reason for I-130 approval delays. Could this really be true??

So now the American government is too busy trying to "legalize" illegals that it can't bother to look after its own citizens?

It really says a lot about their priorities.

Exactly. If that is in fact the case, I just hope they have it resolved and don't let it bog things down anymore going forward. You know what I mean?

Yup!

It just sucks that we are helpless and all we do is wait and wait.

Please, everyone, take a look at my post:

The letter that is referenced in that post is here:

It's DACA and especially, the "Provisional Waiver" program. I posted recently about my study of the USCIS data on that. It does appear to be the case that the Provisional Waiver program affected us more.

If you want to do something about it, please see my post today:

Wow...just wow. Can you explain what the Provisional Waiver program is? This government just flabbergasts me. :(

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why the Provisional Waiver and DACA program affects K-1s??? They're sitting there getting approvals in 60ish days and it frosts me to no end!! Is there any advantage in being married anymore??? Ugh...so upset right now.

Huh? You sent your petition in August and already got approved, and you're F2A? That's blazingly fast. Did you do a DCF or something?

How are we all supposed to think positively? Most of us are U.S. Citizens and we see that fiance petitions and F2A petitions are being processed faster than us. With all due respect, that's a very hard environment for a citizen to stay positive in.

Im sorry about that. I did nothing but to submit all of the said document. F2A are maybe approved faster than fiance coz we have to wait for a visa to be available for a year or two while you on the other hand as a petitioner of a fiance you just have to wait 3-5 months for your visa to be approved and 1-2 months for the availability of the visa. Fiance petitions mostly process not more than a year. Unlike ours as F2A 2-3yrs. Does tha make sense? I hope it does.

It is absolutely horrible! The government does not have its priorities set properly. Isn't it common sense to take care of its own citizens before trying to aid others? Let alone... trying to make illegals "legal" like.. seriously???

I agree..... I got reemed once for using the term "illegal" They like to be called UNDOCUMENTED... ummmmm, same as illegal.... they broke the law... but its ok, because our country helps them with open arms.. Break the law and get rewarded. YIPPEE... ( super sarcasm)

Correct, I don't have a problem with them wanting a better life and what not, but they shouldn't be rewarded for doing things the wrong way... and to make it worse to be prioritized before ones who are trying to do things legally. This is why US citizens applying for I-130 is suffer.

Nothing you say will make me change my mind. Sorry. It should not be this way and is a completely broken system. Citizens should not have to wait this long to see their loved ones. I'm not a petitioner of a fiance. I'm a petitioner of my lawfully wedded wife and I'm a citizen of the U.S. I won't be waiting 3-5 months. I'll be waiting for more likely 1 to 1.5 years with the way things are going. What do you say to that? You'd think there'd be some advantage to actually being a citizen, but there is none.

Yeah, that's the dumbest thing in the world. If they're illegal they're illegal - pain and simple. Enough of this PC stuff. Yes, our country welcomes them with open arms because by being made legal they give politicians the votes they need to get re-elected and maintain power, as was the case with Obama and the DACA. It's just so wrong and flies in the face of what this country was founded on.
